At present, there are many kinds of magnetic separators with different classification methods. According to different characteristics, there are the following classification methods.
(1) According to the magnetic source of magnetic separator, it can be divided into permanent magnetic separator and electromagnetic magnetic separator.
(2) According to the strength of the magnetic field, it can be divided into three types
① The magnetic field intensity of the pole surface is H0 = 72-136 Ka / m, and the magnetic field force is hgradh = (2.5-5.0) × 1011 A2 / m. ；
② For medium magnetic field separator, the magnetic field intensity on the pole surface is H0 = 160-480 Ka / m;
③ The magnetic field intensity of the pole surface is h0-4801600 Ka / m, and the magnetic field force is hgrad H = (1.5-6.0) × 1013 A2 / M 3.
(3) According to the medium of separation process, it can be divided into dry magnetic separator and wet magnetic separator.
(4) According to the type of magnetic field, it can be divided into constant magnetic field, pulsating magnetic field and alternating magnetic field.
(5) According to the structure of the machine body, it can be divided into belt type magnetic separator, cylinder type magnetic separator, roller type magnetic separator, disc type magnetic separator, ring type magnetic separator, cage type magnetic separator and pulley type magnetic separator.
